A Note:

6/2/13

I once told myself: IF I am accepted into grad school, this blog would no longer be updated. As it turns out, in April, I received news of my acceptance for the Fall 2013 semester, where I will attain a Master's degree of Science in Nutrition.

Running a blog, as many of you may already know, is a demanding side job once the excitement wears off. And once I fell out of the blogging community's loop (have you SEEN how many blogs there are now? Wow!), it was like the kiss of death. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get into a blogging routine once this happened due to the disconnect I felt from the community.

So I took a break. I struggled with the loss and with missing my blog. And then I realized I didn't have to run Book Faery to still be a book reviewer; I could read my books and post reviews online. I'm still a book review blogger, just not in the traditional sense.

I'll still be online. You can chat with me on Twitter, where I'll be posting links to my reviews and talking books. I'll also be posting links to nutrition articles. And if you'd like to connect with me where I guarantee I will post reviews, just add me as a friend on Goodreads.

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

LotU Updates & Contest Winners!

Congratulations Gena Showalter on The Darkest Passion's release TODAY!

If you haven't read my review for Aeron's story yet, I highly suggest you do.  This was the book that received the Faerie of Honor rating (what's this?) from Book Faery.  (so you know this book is a big deal!)

If you've ever wondered if an angel and demon could have a relationship, then you're going to love TDP.  Likewise, if you're a huge fan of Gena's Lords, you're going to love it!  And if you're like me, there's lots more of Strider and Gideon in this book too! *swoons*

But that's not it.  Stay tuned for next month when Gideon's story, The Darkest Lie will be released on June 29th!  I feel like a kid in the candy shop the past few months with all these new releases.  Too bad Amun and Strider aren't until next year *sigh*

This picture makes me want to pet the cover.  And maybe fight Scarlet for Gideon.  Beautiful!

And now, to celebrate The Darkest Passion's release today, here are the winners from Gena's Lords of the Underworld week!

"This is a tough question...but I don't want to be selfish. So, I think I would rather kill my best friend...it would be hard because I can't even kill a fly without feeling guilty but I think it would be harder for her to kill me too and either way we both will feel guilty..me for killing her and she for seeing me do it. I wouldn't want to put someone I love in a position I wouldn't want to be in!"

"I could never live imprisoned like that. What good is immortality if your in prison :( I'd give it up and have as much fun as I could before my life ended."

"No contest there, I would choose my lover. Friends are fickle (at least mine). My hubs is a rock :) (not a real rock *giggles*)"

The Darkest Whisper

"I would choose Lies. Because I think that's the easiest to handle. Once 'friends', associates, etc are around you enough, and you are lying about stupid stuff, they will realize that anything out of my mouth will be a lie and they will act accordingly."

And finally...

"I'm afraid an angel would leave me because he thinks he needs to do good or something, so I'd rather choose a demon. Plus, it just sounds way sexier."

Congrats to all the winners!  Please respond to my email with your mailing address within 48 hours, otherwise a new winner will be chosen.
