Cover Wars: Spellbound vs Spell Bound

Cover Wars
(inspired by Kate's Throwdown Thursday at The Neverending Shelf)

Cover Wars is a weekly post occurring every Monday at Book Faery.
Two covers will have a "face off," and it will be up to the readers to
decide who is the victor and who is the loser.  This is a great way for
readers to have their voice be heard, while also promoting new/old books
in the process.

Last week we had a showdown between Dearly Departed by Lia Habel, and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.

The Winner:
  The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer!

Spell Bound vs Spellbound

Recent/upcoming YA novels with the same title. Which do you prefer?

  1. I have to say Spellbound by Cara has a better cover !

  2. The left hand one looks more mysteriously intriguing whilst the right one seems far more fun! I prefer the left hand one but the right hand one has a lot going for it :-)

  3. Without a doubt the darkest color of the two book covers. The one on the left. Fantastic font. Awesome aura of hmmmm...."I wonder what's inside this book"

  4. Left cover definitely demands my attention a lot more than the right one does.

Plus, it's kind of nice not having the same typical YA cover with a guy or a girl as the picture.

  5. Neither one of these covers scream "BUY ME" at me. I'm a cover crazed lunatic - sometimes I buy or don't buy based on cover alone.

  6. Spell bound, the one on the left, seems so much darker and intriguing.

  7. To be quite honest, I'm not a fan of either cover... but having to choose, I'd go with Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz is better of the two.
