A Note:

6/2/13

I once told myself: IF I am accepted into grad school, this blog would no longer be updated. As it turns out, in April, I received news of my acceptance for the Fall 2013 semester, where I will attain a Master's degree of Science in Nutrition.

Running a blog, as many of you may already know, is a demanding side job once the excitement wears off. And once I fell out of the blogging community's loop (have you SEEN how many blogs there are now? Wow!), it was like the kiss of death. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get into a blogging routine once this happened due to the disconnect I felt from the community.

So I took a break. I struggled with the loss and with missing my blog. And then I realized I didn't have to run Book Faery to still be a book reviewer; I could read my books and post reviews online. I'm still a book review blogger, just not in the traditional sense.

I'll still be online. You can chat with me on Twitter, where I'll be posting links to my reviews and talking books. I'll also be posting links to nutrition articles. And if you'd like to connect with me where I guarantee I will post reviews, just add me as a friend on Goodreads.

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

Now Introducing: Pajama Chat Readers

Have any of you read Hearts at Stake (Drake Chronicles) by Alyxandra Harvey yet?

If your answer is yes, then wonderful!  If it's no, then that's okay too!  Either way, I have the perfect opportunity for you to hear more about it.

This Saturday (May 15th)
at 1 PM EST

Pajama Chat Readers will be doing an Online Radio session, discussing the book.

Don't like to talk on the phone?  No problem!  There will be chat rooms where listeners will be able to chat with fellow book readers.  Maybe after listening to a bunch of us on Blog Talk, you will want to come add your input!

(I promise, we're all a bunch of goofy bloggers.  These ladies also tend to run off on wild tangents whenever the opportunity arises.  You don't want to miss out on the insanity!)

Sound familiar somehow?

A couple of months ago I attended Terry Kate's Book Bloggers & Publishers Conference, which was an online conference.  Terry (and her helper Phoebe) organized a bunch of wonderful panels where participants discussed specific topics.  Then later, listeners had the opportunity to call in and either add their comments, or ask questions.

Now that very same concept will be done for Pajama Chat Readers.

So are you interested yet?  If so, then you're going to want to go to Terry Kate's Blog Talk Radio page.  Tweet about it, blog about it, grab the button in this post and put it on your sidebar, or spread the word in any other fun and creative ways!  There's also an option to remind yourself about this event on Saturday.  I guarantee you this: it will be fun!

What's better than chatting with a bunch of other book bloggers and avid readers about a great book anyway? =)

Hope I see you all there!  (I'll be a little bit late)
