The Comment System

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've switched back to Blogger's default comment system.  Recently, I've been hearing a lot of complaints from other bloggers about IntenseDebate, and how some people couldn't even leave comments sometimes.

Due to the switch, I could not import the comments over to Blogger (something about how the process is extremely buggy).  There were no current contests on my blog at the moment, so no entries have been lost.  Contest entries for past contests, however, will no longer show up (this includes Brigit Zahara's, Leanna Heiber's, Larissa Ione's Demonica week, and Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld week).  I have also copied/pasted comments from all the book reviews that I would have otherwise "lost," and I have also posted the comments from a couple of the BEA posts since there were some questions about the event.  So yeah, you're going to see a bunch of comments by me at these posts.  Otherwise, most of these posts will show "Comments (0)" at the bottom.

While IntenseDebate was, in my eyes, easier to reply to individual comments, I've decided that between all the complaints from other bloggers and the poll I took recently (sorry, I accidentally mass deleted it, that's why it disappeared) that ID was not worth it overall.

My apologies to those of you who really enjoyed that comment system.  I did too :(  Blogger default isn't so bad.  Anyway, I hope to keep chatting with you all throughout my posts!

I'll be posting the remainder of the pictures I took at BEA tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that.

GO HERE to see the first batch of photos I've posted.
GO HERE to see my video log of In My Mailbox this week.  It's the only time you'll ever see me do this, probably! =P

  1. Ooh, that surely complicates things... Glad things are finally starting to work out, though!

P.s. I'm psyched to see the second half of your pictures. :)

  2. Hah you're telling me. But oh well, it doesn't hurt to try new things for the blog :)

I actually just finished getting it ready. Keep an eye out for the last two pictures on it hehe

  3. I did the same thing on my blog - installed InstantDebate, read some bad stuff about it, then removed it a day later. Luckily I only lost 2 comments,as it didn't occur to me to copy and paste.

  4. Tori, somehow think all of us are going to be heading back to Blogger comments! I wish would never have switched but loved ID while used it on other peoples blogs, it caused nothing but problems on mine and no one commented at all most of the month plus that it was on my system!! Now back to blogger and my comments are back too!!

  5. @jacobsbeloved: I've had IntenseDebate for about a month now, so I've lost a LOT of comments. I just made sure to save the ones for my book reviews because it's always nice having other peoples' opinions for those things.

@Jackie: I've noticed between this and today's post that a lot more people (who didn't typically comment with ID up) are stopping by to comment now. ID was fun, it was nice to respond to individual comments, but alas, I did not want it to start bugging out on me like it did for other people.

I suppose it's good to be back LOL
