A Note:

I once told myself: IF I am accepted into grad school, this blog would no longer be updated. As it turns out, in April, I received news of my acceptance for the Fall 2013 semester, where I will attain a Master's degree of Science in Nutrition.

Running a blog, as many of you may already know, is a demanding side job once the excitement wears off. And once I fell out of the blogging community's loop (have you SEEN how many blogs there are now? Wow!), it was like the kiss of death. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get into a blogging routine once this happened due to the disconnect I felt from the community.

So I took a break. I struggled with the loss and with missing my blog. And then I realized I didn't have to run Book Faery to still be a book reviewer; I could read my books and post reviews online. I'm still a book review blogger, just not in the traditional sense.

I'll still be online. You can chat with me on Twitter, where I'll be posting links to my reviews and talking books. I'll also be posting links to nutrition articles. And if you'd like to connect with me where I guarantee I will post reviews, just add me as a friend on Goodreads.

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

For What It's Worth
All Consuming Books

  1. I would like to think that, Yes, I would be the person who elects to go outside and explore but maybe I am not as adventurous as I think ?

I would certainly be a frightening and fascinating thing to do under the circumstances.

Thanks for the giveaway and for opening it to worldwide entries.

    Carol T

    buddytho {at} gmail DOT com

  2. I think it would be exceedingly scary but would like to hope I would take that step towards survival.

  3. opps email is emmad at xtra dot co dot nz

  4. I wanna think of myself as a person who would explore. But I don`t know. Probably wouldn`t. Because I am so shy and scared of new things.. But I can always dream :P
I would probably stick with dreaming about what was out there :P

Please count me in for the giveaway :)

  5. I would be the one to do it. I think it would be because I would have been always told not to do it.

  6. I would definity be a part of the group that went. I wouldn't want to go alone because seriously I am not that crazy but yes going somewhere new would be something I would do.

    Im a follower

  7. I think that I would probably to do that. Especially if I had convince and other people come with me.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. I think I would do that. After all that time underground, I would be curious about outside. Please enter me in contest. Tore923@aol.com

  10. YES I WOULD!
cause i mean i'm a curious soul and i would like to experience the world above me!

  11. I love adventures, so definitely YES! :D It would be awesome to be able to see the sky!

Thank you for this chance! :D

    Giada M.

    fabgiada (at) gmail (dot) com

  12. I would like to think I would but at the same time the unknown can be very scary. I can't imagine being stuck underground though and never seeing the sky.

  13. I think I would definitely be the one to explore the outside.

    bbricke at yahoo dot com

  14. No I would be a chicken and let someone else do something risky and potentially dangerous lol

  15. I don't know: we can't know can we? We have to be in the situation. I'd like to think I would, but I think I'd be anxious about doing it. I would do it if life underground was horrible, but if I enjoyed, if I was content, I may remain.

  16. It's easy to say that sure, I would without a doubt go outside, but I think that if life ever actually came to this I would be way to frightened to do it.

  17. I like sunshine and being outdoors so i think I'd go exploring.

    sgiden at verizon.net

  18. OMG! I'm a bit claustrophobic, I can't even imagine how it is like to live underground!*faints* So I'd probably be scared to death, but I'd still try to go out and explore the surface world!:)
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. I absolutely would. Unless I had family at risk who needed me. But if it were just me, I would most definitely go.

    robin [at] intensewhisper [dot] com

  20. I would WANT to be the person that goes exploring, but have a feeling I wouldn't go. Living underground would be the norm and what I'd be used to, and going to the surface would be a big change with lots of unknowns. I'd like to think I'd be adventurous and brave enough to go, but I doubt I would be haha.

Thanks for the great giveaway, I can't wait to read this book!
    green.pamd (at) gmail (dot) com

  21. I probably wouldn't be the adventurous one, especially since I'm a mom now. Who knows what dangerous things could be lurking 'up there'?

  22. Honestly, no, I wouldn't go exploring. As cowardly as that is, if I had spent my entire life underground, being taught that anywhere else is dangerous, I'd definitely stay put.

And I wouldn't risk going near the Freaks. Noooo thank you.

  23. Ishh that'S a tricky question.
If I've never seen what was outside, I'd probably long to know what's outside but I don't know if I'd have the guts to explore.
If I've been out before whatever happened then I would definitely go out because I would miss the sun!

    Thanks for the giveaway =D

  24. I would definately have to check out the outside! I've been hearing alot about this one and can't wait to read it! tWarner419@aol.com

  25. If I was stuck living underground I would go to the surface to explore because why wouldn't you want to explore a new place? It would be an adventure.

  26. I would probably tire of being alone in the dark at some point, hearing things from above.... I would want to explore, I'm sure, even if just for a bit.

  27. I'm a "bring it on"type, so if I have a chance to explore the outside, I'll do that. But I must have a strong back up, since I'm just a girl. Not that I'm meek and weak, but, hey we don't know what we will face it later, right? :)

  28. I think I would eventually feel the need to explore the world above, even if I was scared. :-)

    cris_mv at hotmail dot com

    thanks for the giveaway!!

  29. I'm a pretty brave person, so I could see myself going exploring as long as I wasn't by myself.

    jesilea (at) charter (dot) net

    +1 for tweeting!

  30. I don't know if I would be the person who ventures outside. I probably wouldn't go first. Maybe second or third. I'm not really the adventurous type. If my whole life was spent underground, then outside would be a completely foreign concept to me.

    RSHunter88 [at] gmail [dot] com

  31. I would like to think that I would be one of those who would try to explore, but to be completely honest I am a bit of a home body. Although being trapped underground might change one's perspective.

    Tweet: http://twitter.com/#!/wheems01/status/57485271545036801

  32. I'd love to say that I would be the one daring to venture out...but I don't know if I'd have the courage.

    mk261274 at gmail dot com

  33. I'd go explore, but only if I was armed and had someone (also armed) with me.

    captainsarahsparrow at hotmail dot com

  34. Thank you for the opportunity to win Ann Aguirre's YA Dystopian.
I would definitely be the explorer!
(When I was little I wanted to be Sir Richard Francis Burton)
    All the best,
    RKCharron AT gmail.com

  35. Is this like asking if I could, would I explore space? I think I would explore the upper level, but then I know I wouldn't space, so who knows???

    Hollybwringt at comcast.net

  36. Of course I would. How could you not???

    Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  37. Yes, I would! I love to travel, so I would like to think that I'd be brave enough to go above ground!

  38. Yes I would leave those tunnels. The underground did not have that much going for it, a chance for difference would be paramount.
    terilhack at yahoo dot com

  39. Most definitely. I've never been one to be content just accepting my circumstances so I'm certain I would jump at the opportunity to explore the surface if I had always been underground.

    always.and.never AT gmail DOT com

  40. Yes, I think I would. Curiosity would win over fear of the unknown. Enclave sounds amazing. Thanks for the giveaway.

  42. Yes! I would probably grow up believing that one day I would escape from this existence of darkness and tunnels long enough to figure out what was above us. I would be like an underground Earthanuat (instead of Astronaut). It would be amazing to be the first to step foot outside, there could even be a funny suit and a flag involved if needed.

Look for my tweet too! (NDWakeLady)

  43. I would like to think that I would be the one to break out and explore the world, but in all reality, I'm too chicken to actually do it. Although, if someone were to break out with me, I think I would be able to build up the courage. ;)

    Aryelle @ ReadingwiththeFishes

  44. I'd like to think I would go exploring but it would depend on circumstances such as if I would be endangering someone else.
    Mary Ellen

  45. Honestly, I am not a very brave person, but I am rather curious about things. So I probably wouldn't offer to go exploring on my own, but I would like to think that I would go if I were part of a bigger group!

Thank you for the chance and for making it worldwide!

  46. I would hope that I would go outside and explore. If I did do it, I would have to go with someone else.

  47. Yes I would. I've always been the explorer in my family.

    Thank you for the giveaway.

    qladyhawke at gmail dot com

  48. I think I would be an adventurer and check it out. I would imagine I'd be scared the entire time, but my curiousity would get the better of me.

    Thanks for the giveaway,
    onebookshy at yahoo dot com

  49. I don't know if I'd be the first ONE but I'd be one in the first group that did. I love the sunlight and can't imagine never seeing the sun.

  50. Hi,
I'm not that brave but I can't take boredom either. I think if there were groups that went out I would be amongst the first few. I think it would all depend on what you were told about what lies above you. I would hope I would take the challenge and go even beyond my own expectations..

    Great giveaway..
    Thank you for this chance..
    Good luck to all..

  51. Yes, I think I'd be the person who eventually goes to explore the surface world. I'm not all that adventurous, but I would be going crazy stuck underground and would want to get out.

    Barbed1951 at aol dot com

  52. I'd have to because i'm way too nosy to just sit there in ignorance! :-)

  53. Hmm, it depends. Prekids I was totally the adventurous, first one out the door type of girl. Fix the situation and see what else is out there. Now I'm more content to be at home with my little munchiekins and love on them. thanks for the giveaway! wilsondev(at)gmail(dot)com

  54. I would hope that I would be one that would go out exploring, but I like my comfort as well.

    engarde_99 at yahoo dot com

  55. I'd like to think I would but it is really hard to say

  56. I would think I would, but who knows because if I spent my whole life underground, I would surely be a much different person.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway! And also, I am your newest follower and I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to follow me back. :)

  57. I'm alwasy game to see new places and things, so yes, I would probably be one of the ones to explore the surface world. ^_^

Awesome contest, Enclave sounds so good.

    The Haunting of Orchid Forsythia

  58. I certainly would sign up for checking out the surface. Don't like that underground thing.

    Thanks for the giveaway

  59. I'd like to hope I would be the one to venture out of the darkness and explore this intriguingly new place, but perhaps I would be frightened. If I was frightened, I would definitely be the one daydreaming about the surface and wondering what kinds of things hide there.

  60. Yes, of course. My curiouslity will get the better of me and I will venture to the surface.

  68. I think I'd be one of the individuals that would like to explore the surface world. Living underground my whole life with the knowledge of another space I've never been to but is now open for exploration, I think I would be very excited to discover what would be different in this unchartered territory. I'd like to see if it is better or worse.

  70. I think I would be to scared to do it. As long as we had food and water underground I'd probably feel a lot safer there.

((how did I manage to misspell my email the first time *sheesh*))

  73. Yes, I definitely would be that kind of person. I don't like darkness, I don't like enclosed spaces, I WOULDN'T WANT A CEILING THAT NEVER ENDS OVER MY HEAD. So yes.

  74. Thanks for this giveaway, sounds awesome.

  75. I'd like to think that I'd be the brave one to search a new world and future and maybe given the right circumstance I would. At the moment though, and knowing myself, I probably wouldn't. I prefer to stay safe and comfortable and I would definitely want to go but probably wouldn't have the confidence to (plus the whole fear of death is a big issue with me).

  76. of course I would like to go outside and explore the world beyond me. I'm an explorer by nature, I love to travel and visit place I never been before. Every year I make sure to take a vacation for tour either around the country or other country. It wouldn't be frightening for me to do that. It's more like an adventure.

    thank you for the giveaway!

  79. I have to admit that I probably wouldn't be the one who was brave enough to go out exploring. I'm a scaried-cat.

    bigferret at email dot com

  80. No doubt I would. I'd feel so crammed living underground otherwise! I have a claustrophobia problem.

  81. As frightening as the thought would be if I were in that situation I'd say yes. I hate the feeling of being trapped and love seeing new places. The chance to explore would be fascinating.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  82. Yes, maybe at first I would be a little scared but def. I'll give a try.

  83. Sure would! I'm an adventurous girl! Curiosity also killed the cat. lol.

  84. Honestly, i really don't think I would be that person, I don't have the guts I don't think ;P It's uncharted territory and *scary*

  87. Honestly....probably not. I'd like to say yes, I really would, and perhaps if given the right circumstances I might, but when I straight out think about it, I tend to think no.

It's not that I'd be scared--well, maybe a little, I just don't think that I'd have the just to go against everything I've ever known and do it.

    Thanks for the giveaway =)

    I tweeted too!

  88. That's a hard question to answer! I wouldn't want to always be underground, but it might not bother me if it was all that I knew. I guess it would depend on what was supposed to be above ground and how strongly I believed that. I think if the government was very oppressive, I would risk it.

  90. I would like to say yes, but I do not think I could stand up to the challenge! I would really want to, given it would change the worl, and it would be really fascinating to see the outside land, but I guess I just wouldn't have the guts to do it so, no, I wouldn't be...

  91. I'm claustrophobic so the idea of living underground absolutely terrifies me. Like really. Which means that I would either stay underground forever, because never having been topside, I can't know what I'm missing, or I would have been running for the surface trying to keep myself calm and breathing long enough to get there. :)

  92. I probably would... Seeing the sun for the first time? How could I not want to! Living underground for the rest of my life is just - UGH!
