Tori: What is your heroine’s least favorite music genre and why?
Dawn: My heroine from the short story THREAD OF THE PAST (Spirited Anthology) isn’t a big fan of Screamo, but she’ll tolerate everything else. Letisha Hawke grew up in a time where heavy metal or even hard rock wasn’t invented.

Tori: What does your heroine do in her free time?
Dawn: Letisha loves to design steampunk clothes. Something about the Victorian era calls to her.

Tori: What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t writing?
Dawn: I have three large dogs, a teenage stepdaughter and a husband – I’m never bored! Of course I love to read – pretty much anything – and I’m addicted to a couple of TV shows: Supernatural, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, and American Idol. (Though I have boycotted Idol for the second year in a row since I have not agreed with the winners…Adam Lambert not first? Mind boggling.)

I just moved into a country home and we’re in the midst of heavy-duty renovations. Sometimes that wins out over everything.

Tori: Day or night?
Dawn: Night. Absolutely.
