A Note:

I once told myself: IF I am accepted into grad school, this blog would no longer be updated. As it turns out, in April, I received news of my acceptance for the Fall 2013 semester, where I will attain a Master's degree of Science in Nutrition.

Running a blog, as many of you may already know, is a demanding side job once the excitement wears off. And once I fell out of the blogging community's loop (have you SEEN how many blogs there are now? Wow!), it was like the kiss of death. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get into a blogging routine once this happened due to the disconnect I felt from the community.

So I took a break. I struggled with the loss and with missing my blog. And then I realized I didn't have to run Book Faery to still be a book reviewer; I could read my books and post reviews online. I'm still a book review blogger, just not in the traditional sense.

I'll still be online. You can chat with me on Twitter, where I'll be posting links to my reviews and talking books. I'll also be posting links to nutrition articles. And if you'd like to connect with me where I guarantee I will post reviews, just add me as a friend on Goodreads.

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

BOTS 2: Give your input, win a $10 Amazon Gift Card!

YOUR input is wanted!

To learn how to be entered in the $10 Amazon gift card drawing, please continue reading after the jump.

The BOTS 2: Sidekicks has ended, and with that, I'm looking for reader opinions. You see, while the turnout for the event was awesome--nearly double the amount of pageviews and visits compared to last year--the reader participation* was a lot lower than I had expected.

And I'm not entirely sure why the enthusiasm dwindled. Did you know about the event? Were you away on vacation? Do you typically read these genres? Did you not want to leave a comment on a guest post because the comments section was dedicated to giveaway entries? Did you already own a lot of these books? Are you just suffering from an overwhelmingly large TBR pile and not want to add more to it? Or, did you simply not care for this event?
There's so many reasons that I can think of. So, instead of driving myself crazy, I want YOU to chime in!

Please fill in the Google Document form below. At the way bottom, before the submit button, feel free to enter your email address if you would like to be entered in the drawing for the $10 Amazon gift card. After a week or so, I will use random.org to pick an email address as the winner and will contact said person via email before delivering the prize.

Please be completely honest!
YOU WILL NOT HURT MY FEELINGS IF YOU HAVE CRITICISMS. Criticisms will not hurt your chances of winning the gift card, either.

Thank you! And don't forget to enter all the BOTS 2 giveaways (get the links here). All giveaways CLOSE TOMORROW (Sept 7th, 2011).

* reader participation includes: comments on the author posts, giveaway entries, spreading the word about the event.

  1. Hi Tori - I just tried to submit the form and entered a long comment but I didn't get the acknowledgement that my form was submitted so I figured I should write a comment just in case. Anyway, the gist of my comment was that I read all of my blogs (over 100) in Google reader since it's much quicker than going to each blog every day. According to the Reader, the last post I saw from you was on July 10. So, I had no idea that your event was going on in August. Im sorry I missed it! it sounds like it would have been fun. I'm sure there are others like me, so don't take it personally if your participation was down. A big chunk of that was probably that we had no idea it was happening.
