A Note:

6/2/13

I once told myself: IF I am accepted into grad school, this blog would no longer be updated. As it turns out, in April, I received news of my acceptance for the Fall 2013 semester, where I will attain a Master's degree of Science in Nutrition.

Running a blog, as many of you may already know, is a demanding side job once the excitement wears off. And once I fell out of the blogging community's loop (have you SEEN how many blogs there are now? Wow!), it was like the kiss of death. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get into a blogging routine once this happened due to the disconnect I felt from the community.

So I took a break. I struggled with the loss and with missing my blog. And then I realized I didn't have to run Book Faery to still be a book reviewer; I could read my books and post reviews online. I'm still a book review blogger, just not in the traditional sense.

I'll still be online. You can chat with me on Twitter, where I'll be posting links to my reviews and talking books. I'll also be posting links to nutrition articles. And if you'd like to connect with me where I guarantee I will post reviews, just add me as a friend on Goodreads.

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

Giveaway: The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe

The wonderful folks at HyperionTeens and Big Honcho Media are here to offer two lucky blog followers an opportunity to read Megan Crewe's THE WAY WE FALL!

It starts with an itch you just can't shake.
Then comes a fever and a tickle in your throat.

A few days later, you'll be blabbing your secrets and chatting with strangers like they’re old friends. Three more, and the paranoid hallucinations kick in.

And then you're dead.

When a deadly virus begins to sweep through sixteen-year-old Kaelyn’s community, the government quarantines her island—no one can leave, and no one can come back.

Those still healthy must fight for dwindling supplies, or lose all chance of survival. As everything familiar comes crashing down, Kaelyn joins forces with a former rival and discovers a new love in the midst of heartbreak. When the virus starts to rob her of friends and family, she clings to the belief that there must be a way to save the people she holds dearest.

Because how will she go on if there isn't?

  1. I'd probably hide out in quarantine or somewhere "safe" XD

  2. I would do something called "sit in place", which means you stay in your home, or wherever you have planned until the virus has passed.

  7. I'd find out how the virus is transmitted and then go from there.

  8. My family and I would just stay in our house and avoid going out and being around other people. Hopefully, the virus would be controlled before we start to run out of food and other necessary things, because I don't think we could last for long living that way.

  9. I am not sure I guess I would try to find a way to stay away from it and if not I would be with family & friends for as long as I had.

  10. Stay away from busy places and hospitals. Find out how the virus is transmitted and take precautions.

  11. I would gather up a ton of supplies and then take my family somewhere safe where we can hold out until the virus is contained.

  12. I would go over to my friend's house and wait out there because her mom's a major coupon clipper, so they have plenty of food and supplies. XD

  15. I don't know how I would really react... I would first make sure all my loved ones are safe, then make myself safe and then document everything.
