Secrets of the sea have never been sexier than this.
Ever since the death of her parents, Miranda has lived on Whym Island, taking comfort in the local folklore, which claims a mysterious sea witch controls the fate of all on the island and in its surrounding waters. Sometimes it’s just easier to believe things are out of your control.
But then a terrible boating accident takes the lives of several of her friends, and Miranda is rescued by a mysterious boy who haunts her dreams. Consumed by guilt from the accident, she finds refuge in late-night swims—and meets Christian, a boy who seems eerily familiar, but who is full of mystery: He won’t tell her where he is from, or why they can only meet at the beach. But Miranda falls for him anyway…and discovers that Christian’s secrets, though meant to protect her, may bring her nothing but harm.
Seductive and compelling, Wrecked brings a contemporary, paranormal twist to a classic enchanting tale.
Wrecked by Anna Davies - Extended Excerpt
I like the water/waves directly underneath them the best and the scaley skin on him the least (although I'm sure that's a hint as to his character!)

I like the cover all than how dark it is. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like the water droplets but I really don't like how dark the overall cover it. It is so hard to see the people.

I like the water waves at the bottom of the cover and I love how dark it is what I'm not a fan of is the fact that they show the faces when I read I like to envision the characters as how I see them.

I LOVE the water - the quality of the water against the people is beautiful. I don't really like that her eyes are downcast - although I'm pretty suer the publisher meant for that. But I think she should be closing her eyes qith her head against him, or look at him, not necessarily up at his face.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

I like the light and dark shadow contrast of the book's cover. It kind of cool how we get to see the people as half lit, half darkened. It adds a touch of mystery

The book doesn't look like a YA anymore with it having the girl look naked as she's holding the guy's arm. That's my only complaint. Other than that, I like it.

I like how dark the cover is. I especially like the bubbles and the waves.

The water and the darkness are my favorite parts.

I think my favorite element is the color combination and my least favorite is nothing... I love it!

My favorite thing about the cover is the unique use of water, but I don't really care for there being nothing but water bubbles on black near the bottom. It's a bit confusing.
