That's all, folks!

3/20/13

For the past year, I have been struggling with both my new passion in nutrition and with attempts to rekindle my old passion in book reviewing. I still love these books and genres, but after three years, reading transformed from a hobby to a job that stressed me out. It didn't help that the community changed and I fell out of the loop.

I will still maintain my twitter account. If you want to chat with me, or if you want to talk books (because let's face it, I'll never STOP reading!), then feel free to follow me on there if you haven't already. Let's tweet!

I thank everyone who has supported me and this blog over the years. Specifically: Alice, Amanda, Book Dragon, and Binah for guest reviewing.

For those of you who are still interested in my thoughts regarding books, I WILL be keeping my GoodReads account active. I will be updating that. So I guess you can say I'm not completely gone :)

So that's all, folks! It's been a fun and amazing journey, and I thank you all for listening to my thoughts about books. I hope we all can keep in touch elsewhere :)

Cover Wars: The Immortal Rules vs Vampire Shift

Cover Wars
(inspired by Kate's Throwdown Thursday at The Neverending Shelf)

Cover Wars is a weekly post occurring every Monday at Book Faery.
Two covers will have a "face off," and it will be up to the readers to
decide who is the victor and who is the loser.  This is a great way for
readers to have their voice be heard, while also promoting new/old books
in the process.

Last time we had a showdown between The Mephisto Covenant and Entasy.

The Winner:
We had a tie! If I were to be tie-breaker, I'd go with Mephisto, but probably mostly because I've read it, and really enjoyed it!

The Immortal Rules VS Vampire Shift

  1. The Immortal Rules. The Vamp cover model's eye makeup reminds me of a centipede... EWWWW

  2. I don't know... I JUST DON'T KNOW...... okay, The Immortal Rules.

  3. Immortal Rules for sure. Not only does it have more information on the cover (although not too much to be distracting to the reader), the Vampire looks much less dolled up and realistic. Both are good covers, but T.I.R is better.

  4. I vote for The immortal rules. Much prettier cover. That bloody tear on the other cover is just too much. See the bloodclots? Icky!

  5. I vote for Vampire Shift. The colors pop more and are not faded like Immortal Rules (which while is nice I don't think it works).
