For the past year, I have been struggling with both my new passion in nutrition and with attempts to rekindle my old passion in book reviewing. I still love these books and genres, but after three years, reading transformed from a hobby to a job that stressed me out. It didn't help that the community changed and I fell out of the loop.

I will still maintain my twitter account. If you want to chat with me, or if you want to talk books (because let's face it, I'll never STOP reading!), then feel free to follow me on there if you haven't already. Let's tweet!

BBAW: Best New Book Blog - Shortlist Nomination

I wasn't originally going to post this, but I figured what the heck, why not?




First of all, congratulations to all the other people who have either made the shortlist for the Best New Book Blog or another category!  The Best New Book Blog hat includes: The New Dork Review of Books, There's a Book, Amy Reads, Amused by Books, Dark Faerie Tales, Iris on Books, and, if you'd like to see my post about this, Book Faery as its finalists.  The only other blog I follow on this list is Angela's Dark Faerie Tales, but the other blogs look interesting too.

Until Sept 6, people participating in this event will be voting.  Then the final phase is....

The winners will be announced throughout Book Blogger Appreciation Week on September 13-17.

Tori is a 23 year old college graduate with a bachelor's in English Literature. She's currently pursuing a master's degree in Nutrition, and hopes to eventually become a registered dietitian. She enjoys reading, writing, baking, cooking, and has a strange addiction to chocolate, shoes, and coffee.
