Packages have slowly been trickling in, though I suppose I shouldn't complain since I'm still receiving books every now and then.  Ever since I started blogging, I must say that receiving packages has made me spoiled.  I always get so excited when I see something in the mail for me!  (as long as it's not a bill...)

Anyway, this was a pretty eventful week book-wise.

For Review:

• The Passage by Justin Cronin
• Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire

Yes, the cover changes colors when you shift the book in the light.  And apparently, The Passage is this highly awaited for/regarded book, and movie rights have already been sold.  The book was just released this month, and in short (from what I understand) it's about this young girl who saves the world.  Not too paranormal-y, but it's got enough that I will be reading (all 700+ pages of it) and reviewing it soon.  Got it in the mail from Random House, which was awesome!

Rosemary and Rue is the first book in the series by Seanan, and it's based in the fae world.  Pretty interesting concept the author's got so far.  Book is already out, I think the second book is out also, and the third (cover I love the most) is coming out in the Fall.

• The Demon in Me by Michelle Rowen (+ sexy bookmark and Michelle's awesome business card!)
• Karma Bites by Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas

Won The Demon in Me which was a great read!  Highly suggest checking it out if you're curious (yes, it's been released) and then I'll have to read Karma Bites soon and let you all know how it is.

Bought:

• Dark Warrior Unbroken by Alexis Morgan
• Magic on the Storm by Devon Monk (signed)

Dark Warrior Unbroken was actually a used book I bought off Amazon that the seller messed up.  I had ordered the first book in the series and they gave me the second.  I guess it's no biggie, I'll just have to find the first elsewhere.

Magic on the Storm was signed because I tried to help Devon with some friendly competition she was having.  I still need to read the first book in this series, but that cover is beautiiiful, so I'd like to think I helped a good cause ;)

This week was.... yep, BEA week!  I have lots of pictures from Javits.  In fact, you can see Part I here.  Part II should be up within the next few days.  Going to push back any books I received (ie: bought) to next week's IMM so I can show off all the super awesome books I got during this exciting week!

I'd also like to announce that I did a vlog of IMM this week.  I usually won't do this, but a few people were asking me to post a vlog over taking a bunch of pictures.  Please ignore my frazzled look, when I started recording this, I was still in the process of waking up (STILL didn't have my coffee today yet... argh).  Also, apparently YouTube videos can only be 10 minutes in length.  Mine's umm a bit longer due to all the books, so I don't know how the quality's going to be with this Blogger/Google video thing.  If it sucks, I'm sorry!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!  I've included a list of the books I got under the video just in case I was either talking too fast, too quietly, mumbling, or because the quality of the video is completely horrible.  Because I do that when I'm still in the process of waking up.

Posting my IMM a day early because I want to spend as much time as I possibly can reading tomorrow.  And yes--I'm FINALLY on spring break!  Here's to getting a lot of reading done to make up for the lack of updates the past two weeks.

Can I just say that I am SO excited about the book I got this week?  Well.  I AM SO EXCITED!   I've physically received three books in the mail (two are for a HUGE giveaway that will be posted sometime later this week, yay!) but this one book...

Here is is!  I've received The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker from the lovely Leanna.  Thank you so much Leanna!

I cannot wait to start reading this book!  Expect a review up soon for it :)  Leanna was also kind enough to send me a bookmark, and the covers for her next two books which will be published later this year.  Curious about those dates?

This is basically a new feature I've added to my blog.  After being tired of checking, and checking, and checking the same dates for books that I'm anticipating, I've decided to compile a list of new and upcoming books, along with their release date.  This will be updated on the first Thursday of every month, with pictures of the covers that will be coming out that month.  Expect the next update to this on Thursday, April 1st!


2.  Another Giveaway
